The good and the bad Web Design Tips!

As a web design expert I have experience many good web pages and many bad web pages. The navigation on the good sites was consistent,  well formatted and very beautiful. However, on the bad web pages their pages stayed busy and it had a distracting background that made the text hard to read. I have experienced both the good and the bad sites of web pages. Read the tips that I have given below so you can create a good website.

 

 

Good Tips For Web Design!

1 Developing a theme for your website
2 Choosing background and foreground colors
3 Columns of text are narrower than in a book to make reading easier on the screen
4 Web page titles - The HTML TITLE tag
5 Navigation is consistent throughout web site
6 Creating seamless backgrounds
7 Navigation buttons and bars provide the visitor with a clue as to where they are, what page of the site they are currently on
8 Background does not interrupt the text
9 Text is big enough to read, but not too big
10 The hierarchy of information is perfectly clear
11 Frames, if used, are not obtrusive
12 A large site has an index or site map
13 Keep it simple
14 graphic interchange format is the best to use
15 Place your important keywords at the top if the page as text headers
16 When finished with a page, run a spell text headers
17 Links are underlined so they are instantly clear to the visitor
18 All of the other pages have the immediate visual impact within 640 x 460 pixels
19 Pages download quickly

Bad tips for web design!

1 Default blue links
2 Blue link borders around graphics
3 Links that are not clear about where they will take you
4 Links in body copy that distract readers and lead them off to remote, useless pages
5 Text links that are not underlined so you don't know they are links
6 Dead links (links that don't work anymore)
7 Anything that blinks, especially text
8 Multiple things that blink
9 Underlined text that is not a link
10 Centered type over flush left body copy
11 Paragraphs of type in bold `
12 Busy, distracting backgrounds that make the text hard to read
13 Text crowding against the left edge
14 Text that is too small to read
15 Text that stretches all the way across the page
16 Paragraphs of type in italic
17 Color combinations of text and background that make the text hard to read
18 Paragraphs of type in all caps
19 Default gray color
20 No typos
